About the Role: We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and service-minded individual to join our team in a part-time housekeeping role. This position helps maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and guests. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating well-kept spaces and supports the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility. 

The House Assistant will need to be a highly functioning, multi-tasking, well-organized individual who can help organize and keep a Ministry Home. Individuals must show attention to detail and high communication is essential.

Responsibilities: 

Cooking - meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking according to the family's preferences and dietary needs

Cleaning of common areas such as a kitchen, living room and common shared living space (Responsibilities will include but not limited to: sweeping, washing, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and sanitizing all areas and surfaces of the kitchen, taking garbage out and making sure recycling products have been broken down and stored properly)

Maintaining the household and ensuring the health of its surroundings

Making beds, ironing and folding laundry

Checking drawers and closets-personal or storage- to ensure organization and systems

Communication of schedule and happenings prior to event, personal or work

Meal Planning and meal prep

Maintaining Grocery list and shopping/stocking each week

Seasonal house changes

Appointments

Daily Checklists

Running Inventory Lists

General Assisting Duties as needed

Requirements: 

High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred

1-3 years of relevant experience and or 

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
• Respectful, professional, and able to work well in a team environment.

Additional Information:

About the Role: The Animal Sanctuary Staff Member will be responsible for both day and night and overnight availability as well as someone who can aid in our facilities. Responsible for welfare and well being of all animals of Ark of Grace Sanctuary. Any concerns for the animals will be communicated to your manager. Create an ideal environment for each animal and tailored to their individual needs while following our animal protocols/procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Feeding all animals based upon their dietary needs.
• Cleaning animal living areas for dogs, cats, birds, pigs etc.
• Walking dogs
• Administering medication as needed per management and daily supplements.
• Carefully watching over animals noticing any changes in their lifestyle and health
• Aid in maintenance of animal’s facilities, structures and habitat needs
• Stocking supplies
• Helping with snow removal and garbage as needed and if maintenance is out/help.
• Work with animal staff team
• Grooming animals, feeding and exercising
• Handling domestic animals, heavy lifting when moving larger animals
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Work in all elements of weather
• Medication administration/ understanding
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain safe environment
• Transporting Animals and training animals

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred 

1-3 years’ of relevant experience
